Preschool

Today was Miss Loo's first day of preschool.

She was so excited to get in the car and go!
She literally ran to the van.
She loves her teacher and has already made a new friend.
I am so happy she loves it! Miss Peggy, You Rock!
Now two days a week, I have just over two hours with only one child.
Although, I think Peanut misses her sisters already.

Yellowstone

We took the girls to Yellowstone National Park on Monday, the day before we left Wyoming. It was beautiful as always, but it was COLD!
I had brought warmer clothes for the girls to wear, but it was in the 30's and 40's that day. I didnt know that we needed to pack the winter gear. We wore layers and tried to stay warm while watching Old Faithful and checking out all the hot springs.

We had a wonderful trip out West, and hopefully we will do it again sometime. Maybe a winter trip once the girls are old enough for ski school. I love Jackson Hole. It's where I fell in love with my MJ eight years ago!

Back to Buffalo

We are headed back to Buffalo this weekend for another wedding. This time it is Dan and Sarah's turn. We cant wait to get there and relax from the crazy stressful weeks of family vacation, my back problems, back to school, and back to work! I guess you could say this is our vacation after the vacation. Grandma and Grandpa J are staying with the girls so I know the girls will have a great time while we are away. Lets hope my sciatica behaves for the ride up and back!

She loves Sushi!

She is five, and her favorite food is sushi. So while on vacation, we spoiled her and took her out to Nikai, the best sushi in Jackson Hole!  It may be the best sushi I have ever had.

She ate at least 3 rolls all by herself! Watch out boys! She will be an expensive date.

To Don and Cassie

Thank you for inviting us all to your wedding. We had a wonderful week in Wyoming, and loved being there to celebrate with you.

You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful spot to get married,

or better people to spend the rest of their lives together.

Check out the double rainbow that appeared as they returned from taking pictures.
It was perfect!

Can you believe she is in Kindergarten?
Good luck to my "baby" and the class of 2023!

Wild Animals

We had been telling the girls for weeks about the animals we would see in Wyoming. So we were so thankful that they cooperated with us and came out while we were there.

We saw Bison.

Lots of Bison

A baby moose having lunch

Big Bull Moose

And if you look real close, you can see the coyote.
We also saw mule deer, pronghorn antelope, a fox, trumpeter swans, and we almost saw a grizzly. The people watching him told us he just went back into the trees. Dont worry Mom, he was far, far away.
The only animals we missed seeing were the elk. They were too far up in the mountains. I guess we will have to bring the girls back sometime in the winter when they are all over.

At lease they got a picture by the elk antler arches.

Ride em Cowgirls!

While at Teton Village, we let the girls try horseback riding. You could "rent" a horse for an hour and we got to lead them around. MJ didn't think the horse liked him, but I think it liked me!

Peanut was too little to ride, but that was ok with her. She preferred to look at the horses from afar. This was a little too close for her.

On top of the World

We took the girls up on the tram to the top of  Rendezvous Mountain.
We took a family picture on top of the world.

But once again we were underdressed and freezing. Silly Mom should have known it was going to be cold at the top of the mountain. We brought them back up another day and we were better prepared. We even enjoyed some waffels for breakfast up there. I tried to get Little Miss to yell out "I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD", but I think she thought I was crazy.

Wyoming

They never found the DS I left on the plane. I have one sad five year old. I promised to buy her a new one, since it was my mistake. (A darn expensive mistake I might add!)
We are still adjusting to the time change and late flight in. I need to finish unpacking and start chipping away at the mountain of laundry we brought back with us. But first I wanted to post some photos.
This is a picture of the girls on the boat ride across Jenny Lake. I took them there while MJ participated in the Bachelor Party/Float Trip. We hiked up to the hidden waterfall. I had peanut in a pack on my back, and the other two walked (most of the way). I had to carry Little Loo for a little while. I am sure it was quite a sight, one on my back and one in front. We had a great time and even got to play in the water a little before we headed back to the condo. The weather was beautiful, in the upper 80's. They even said some places reached 90 degrees and broke records. I guess we brought New Jersey weather with us!

Happy Birthday Kari

A little shout out today to an "old friend"... it's her birthday today!
Happy 29th Birthday Kari!
and by "old" I mean I have known her forever... or at least since 4th grade.
Have a great night at the game, but please don't cheer for the cyclones.

We're back!!

We made it home late, late, late, last night. It was a good vacation, but please remind me next time I fly with the girls, not to take the last flight of the day. Everyone was tired and cranky by the time we touched down. Then to top it off, I left my daughters DSi on the plane. I'm hoping and praying some nice person cleans the plane, finds it, and turns it in!

Keep an eye out for some pictures soon. I never take as many as I should, but I think I got some good ones!
